Embroidery is the perfect way to give your clothing line a premium and distinctive appearance. From clean logos to signature details, embroidery instantly enhances your products, making them more recognizable while adding a luxurious, durable finish your customers will appreciate. Using high-quality embroidery machines and modern techniques, we ensure every design complements your brand perfectly.

Can all products be embroidered?

No. Whether a product is suitable for embroidery depends on the thickness and structure of the fabric, as well as the material itself. Fabrics that are too thin or too thick, highly stretchable materials, or certain textured fabrics may not produce a neat or durable embroidery result.
For this reason, we assess each product individually to determine whether embroidery is technically possible. This allows us to guarantee the highest quality finish.

If you are interested in a specific product that is not currently available for embroidery, please email info@promio.nl with your request. Be sure to specify the product you would like to have added. One of our specialists will review whether the product can be included in our embroidery range.

Maximum embroidery size

The maximum embroidery area is 10 × 10 cm.
Designs can be uploaded through our online designer using the designated upload areas.

Design guidelines

Although embroidery offers many creative possibilities, not every design can be embroidered successfully. Designs containing very thin lines, gradients, or a high level of fine detail may not translate accurately into embroidery thread.

If we determine that a design is not technically suitable for embroidery, we will contact you to discuss the available options.

Embroidery thread colours

The thread colours shown in our product images are fixed colours that are part of our automated production process. Because of this, it is not possible to change or customise thread colours on an individual order basis.
We always use the same thread colours to ensure consistent quality across all embroidered products.
Each design can contain up to six different thread colours.

How do I change the thread colours when placing an order?

After uploading your design, the detected thread colours will be displayed.
You can either:

• select Auto Threads, allowing the system to assign the most suitable thread colours automatically; or
• manually adjust the thread colours yourself.

What is the production time for embroidered products?

Our standard production time of 3–5 business days also applies to embroidered products.
If your design requires a new embroidery file to be created, please allow an additional 1–2 business days.

Can I combine embroidery with printing?

At this time, a product can be customised with either embroidery or printing. Combining both techniques on the same product is not yet available.
Should this become possible in the future, we will announce it accordingly.

What are the costs?

The prices listed on our embroidery product pages include one embroidery application.
If an embroidery file has not yet been created for your design, a one-time setup fee of €11.95 (excluding VAT) will be charged.

What is an embroidery file?

A digital logo or image cannot be read directly by an embroidery machine. An embroidery file is the technical file required for the machine to reproduce your design accurately.
The embroidery file contains detailed instructions, including:

• where the machine should embroider;
• which stitch types to use;
• the stitching sequence and direction.

Without an embroidery file, an embroidery machine cannot produce the design.

Why is there a charge for creating an embroidery file?

An embroidery file is created manually by a specialist and tailored specifically to your design. It is not generated through an automatic conversion process.
When creating an embroidery file, the specialist takes several factors into account, including:

• the size of the design;
• the number of colours and level of detail;
• the type of fabric (for example, cotton, sweatshirts, polo shirts, or caps).

Good to know

An embroidery file usually only needs to be created once.
It can be reused for future orders using the same design at the same size.
However, a new embroidery file may be required if:

• the design is produced at a different size; or
• the design is embroidered on a different type of garment or material.
